A delightful numismatic celebration of the Year of the Tiger, this highly original antiqued silver coin features a novel rotating charm in the form of the auspicious lunar animal- an 18-carat gold-plated sterling silver tiger. Determined, courageous, and confident, the tiger is said to bestow many positive characteristics on people born during its years of influence – including 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 and 2022. The release incorporates a tiger-shaped 18-carat gold-plated sterling silver charm which rotates on a pin holding it securely at the coin’s center. The charm is surrounded by artistic portrayals of tigers, each with stripes on its forehead representing the Chinese character for ‘king’. Featuring The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the coin surface has been ‘antiqued’ to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact.
