The 2020 1 oz Gold Kangaroo coin continues the popular series known for its recognizable wildlife symbol of Australia, the kangaroo. A series that started in 1987, each different coin design promotes collectability through distinguishing characteristics.
DESIGN:
Obverse: Features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, surrounded by the inscription "Elizabeth II" along with the legal tender value and country of issue. Reverse: Features a depiction of an adult and a baby kangaroo standing on the plains with joey flowers on both of its edges along with the year of issue, metal weight, type, purity, and the inscription "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO"
