Struck by the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra on behalf of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, this coin was issued as part of New Zealand's 1990 celebrations to mark the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Each coin was encapsulated and presented in a long, black leatherette, hinged-lid presentation case and accompanied by a numbered Certificated of Authenticity signed by Walter F Sheehan, Controller of the Royal Australian Mint and Don Brash, Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
